Chattahoochee River Fall Clean-Up

100_1076_SM2

After the recent flooding, the river parks are in desperate need of a clean-up. The Paces Mill river park was under several feet of water and closed to the public for weeks after the water receded. The picture above shows the access road to the park during the flood. The water was just below the bridge!  The National Parks have asked us to help get the park usable again, and we agreed. We will have more details as we get closer to the date.

Please RSVP for this event HERE.

You can see the image gallery from our last cleanup on this stretch of river HERE.

Breakfast will be provided.

THE END OF THE LINE – imagine a world without fish

UPDATE: According to the Landmark Cinema, this movie will not be showing in Atlanta.  We will repost this event if we find out new information.

The End of the Line, the first major feature documentary film revealing the impact of overfishing on our oceans, had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in the World Cinema Documentary Competition.  This September it will be showing here in Atlanta.

This film shows firsthand the effects of our global love affair with fish as food. The End of the Line is not against fishing. It is not against eating fish. But it is for a responsible attitude towards the oceans. If this is something that concerns you, come out to see the show and learn how you can do your part.

Where : Landmark Midtown Art Cinema, 931 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, GA 30308

When: Starts September 11

Details to follow.  Here is the trailer…
